Datamart with Kafka Support

With version Universal 8.1, the Datamart functionality for exporting data from Consor Universal has been revised. Data can now be exported not only in a DB table structure, but also in a freely defined format. This function helps to send information from business transactions to inventory systems or DWHs, for example, for further evaluation.

The Customizer or Business Analyst defines the data structure and the dependencies between the data. There are now two configuration files for this.

The structure of the data and the dependencies between different data objects are recorded in one configuration. You can then define the modules and standard fields from which the data from the Consor Universal business transaction is to be filled into the data structure.

With the new Datamart 2.0, data can be written to a Kafka message queue with this configuration or exported directly to a database structure as before.

Like the previous Datamart, the functionality can be integrated directly into the business transaction via a mapper. The mapper also defines the times at which the data from the business transaction is to be filled into the defined structure, e.g. on release.

There are already scripts that enable simple migration from Datamart 1.0 to Datamart 2.0. If you are interested in the new functionality and would like to know more, please do not hesitate to contact us for details.
